Lincoln Lawrence, CEO

Lincoln Lawrence joined the Palmetto Summerville team as the Chief Executive Officer in August 2017. He most recently served as the interim Executive Director in March at Palmetto Summerville, and was the interim Chief Executive Officer at Lake Bridge Behavioral Health System located in Macon, Georgia. Prior to these experiences, Lincoln served in a variety of positions at Rivendell in Bowling Green, Kentucky to include Mental Health Associate, Assistant Program Director, and Program Director where he became certified as a Juvenile Sexual Offending Counselor. Eventually, Lincoln transitioned in to more administrative roles such as the Director of Performance Improvement, Director of Risk Management, and Chief Operating Officer. With over 15 years of psychiatric experience, Lincoln brings his knowledge and compassion for those in need to the South Carolina area.

Lincoln earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology at the University of Louisville and a master’s degree in Leadership Dynamics at Western Kentucky University.

Dr. Steven Lopez, Medical Director

Steven Lopez, MD currently serves as the Medical Director. He has been treating adolescents and children in residential treatment for over 17 years including his tenure at Palmetto Summerville RTC since 2006. He proudly graduated from Auburn University for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Lopez completed his MD at ETSU in Tennessee. His Adult Psychiatry Residency and Child/Adolescent Fellowship were completed at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He also currently serves as Medical Director for Palmetto Low Country Behavioral Health in North Charleston. Dr. Lopez has expertise in mood disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, ODD, Autism, and trauma.

Shannon Parker-Easterling, Director of Clinical Services

Shannon Parker is the Director of Clinical Services at Palmetto Summerville Behavioral Health. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Social Work and Sociology from Columbia College and her graduate degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. Shannon is a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist and has also completed certification training and supervision as a Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. Shannon spent 10 years with the Department of Social Services working in both foster care and adoption services before transitioning to RTC and Acute Hospital settings to work as a therapist. During this time, Shannon also implemented an outpatient substance abuse program for youth.

Shannon is a native of Charleston, South Carolina and has spent over 20 years working with children and adolescents. She has extensive experience working in the areas of abuse/trauma, substance abuse, sexually reactive/sexually offending behaviors, and adoptions.

Eugene Woodall, Director of Nursing

Gene Woodall joined the team in March of 2017. He has been a nurse for 19 years and has held a leadership position for 10 of them. He attended the Medical University of South Carolina where he received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998 and obtained his Master of Science in Nursing in 2005. Gene is a board certified Nurse Executive who has experience with all psychiatric populations and age groups.

Tina Ramos, Intake Coordinator

Tina currently serves as the Intake Coordinator at Palmetto Summerville. Tina received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Masters in Clinical Psychology, while obtaining a second master’s degree in contemporary theory in addictive behaviors. Over the years, Tina has accumulated a very diverse set of skills that attribute to her expertise in dealing with families in crisis. Beginning as a floor technician at an acute psychiatric care facility, she obtained experience with adolescents with substance abuse and detox issues. Tina then transitioned in to an admissions role, while being a part-time therapist in an outpatient substance abuse program. Shortly after, Tina’s experience was transferred to Palmetto Summerville Behavioral Health in March 2017, where she continues assisting those in need.
